2018 Board of Directors Election Results
The SCNCA is pleased to announce the election of Steve Barnes and Scott Johnson and the reelection of Armin Rahm and David Huntsman to the Board of Directors for 2018. New Directors Barnes and Johnson will join the Board at the first meeting of 2018 on January 9. Each director elected in this election will serve as directors through the end of 2019. We thank all candidates and members who participated in the election.

The southern California / Nevada Cycling Association is pleased to announce the offering of a USA Cycling Category C Officials class in the San Diego are on January 7, 2018 from 8:30-5:30.
USA Cycling has details posted for the class, which will be taught by Jim Allen, National Commissaire and retired International Commissaire Marilyn Allen. The class will also focus more towards the Track discipline, emphasizing the need to further increase qualified Officials to work the 3 area Velodromes within Southern California.

Election Procedure for 2018 SCNCA Board of Directors
Dear SCNCA Community:
In December, the SCNCA will hold an election of its 2018 Board of Directors. 4 of 9 director seats are up for election. Attached (in a 5 page PDF document) is the Election Procedure. In summary, the Election Procedure explains who is eligible to nominate candidates, who is eligible to be a candidate, when nomination and acceptances take place, and when voting will take place. Please read the Election Procedure carefully and use the attached forms to nominate a candidate.

What is SCNCA?
The Southern California Nevada Cycling Association (SCNCA) is the USA Cycling (USAC) recognized local association for the Southern California and Southern Nevada. Our mission is to conduct, coordinate, and seek the advancement of USA Cycling activities in Southern California and Southern Nevada. We are also committed to creating programs to assist riders in the development of their competitive skills and to ensure safe competition. The SCNCA is defined by Zip Code boundaries 89000-89299 in Nevada and all areas south of Monterey, King, Tulare, and Inyo counties in California. The SCNCA web site is the official home for the USAC calendar, race flyers, race results, and SoCal Cup standings for SoCal and SoNV.
